Peace

   For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost Romans 14:17
   But the fruit of the spirit is...peace... Galatians 5:22

   Now we know that lord gives us peace. When we get saved we receive a deep peace. That is the peace that comes from knowing the Lord. But here we see that the kingdom of God is more important that worrying about meat and drink. We get righteousness and peace from the Holy Ghost. We already know that peace is another of the fruits of the spirit. Isn't it nice to know we can have that peace all the time?
   This is the peace that keeps us. It is what will carry us through the rough times. It is a fruit that will keep us when Satan comes around. If we are bearing the fruit of peace then Satan cannot rattle us. We can just smile and say, "Get thee behind me Satan you can't harm me".
   And the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
   It is this peace that keeps us in God's will. It is this peace that keeps our thoughts where they should be. It is this peace that allows us to walk through the valley of the shadow of death without fear. What a wonderful peace to have. All because it is one of the fruits the Lord gives us to bear through the Holy Spirit.
