Human Thoughts

   There is a real battle being waged from the cradle up, to control the human mind. Nearly every waking hour, the devil is bombarding every sense (eyes, ears, feelings) with corrupt thoughts--which result in evil deeds. We must realize that we are in a war (a spiritual war), and keep our defense strong, obeying the commands of our Captain.
   Ye that love the Lord, hate evil. Keep yourself unspotted from the world. Be not overcome of evil. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
That says a lot...God will keep him in peace: whose mind is stayed on Him (God), because he trusts in God. Usually when we become troubled or worried it is because we're not placing our full trust in God. We're not keeping our minds upon God as we're told to in the Bible. When we keep our minds upon God, no matter what is going on around us, He will saturate our very soul and mind with His peace, and we can be assured that God has everything under control.
   Psalm 94:11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man.
   Philippians 4:8 Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things
   Wow! The Lord knows every thought, and Proverbs 23:7 says..for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. You see, whatever we let our minds dwell on is what we are. I would encourage each and every person to be a positive person for Christ, for being negative will not bring glory to the Lord. We should dwell on true things, honest things, just things, pure things, lovely things, things of good report. Let's put our minds upon the Lord this day, and every day, let's be happy and positive for the Lord, that we may bring glory to His name. As we think on good things, it will also spread to those around us, when you talk to someone today, leave with them a positive, happy attitude, not a negative one, and they will want to talk to you, rather than avoid you. I for one, don't like to be around people that are always negative, do you? I don't think so, we like to be around positive people.
I would leave you with this thought...are you a positive person or negative person? If you're a negative person...you CAN change the way you think, begin right now, and if you can't think of anything positive in your life, go back up to the verse from Philippians and think on it ALL Day, and you will begin a good thought and will wind up the day a happier person. Find the good in every situation.
